Dr. Whitney Kosters

Dr. Whitney Kosters is a professor of English, scholar, and educational creator whose work focuses on literature, writing, critical thinking, and communication.

She earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska and has spent more than two decades teaching at the college and university level. She currently teaches at California State University, Northridge and Pierce Community College, where her courses have included literature, writing, critical thinking, and research. Her scholarship has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals, and her work has been presented at national and international conferences.

In addition to her classroom teaching, Dr. Kosters creates educational resources and digital content for students, teachers, and readers who want to engage more deeply with literature and ideas. Her work bridges the gap between academic scholarship and public education, bringing rigorous analysis to a wider audience while remaining accessible and practical.

Whether in the classroom, through educational media, or in published work, Dr. Kosters is committed to helping people read more carefully, think more critically, and engage more thoughtfully with themselves and the world around them.
